This is one of the beautiful quotes by Rumi, who was a 13th-century Persian poet, Islamic scholar, theologian, and Sufi mystic. His words are filled with passion, wisdom, beauty, deep devotion, and thorough observation of reality.

Rumi states that when we admire the good qualities of others, we are essentially recognizing our own good qualities in them. His words speak to the interconnectedness of all things, the idea that what we see and experience in the world is a reflection of our own internal state.

Anytime you admire someone who appears to be doing something or having a quality that you like, the fact is that you could not be seeing whatever it is in another person if it did not already dwell within you.

You can only notice qualities in others that you possess yourself. You could believe that everyone admires someone for the qualities that you like in them, but you would be very surprised to find out otherwise.

Your perception is unique

This remark emphasizes the fact that your view of things and people is unique to you. It’s distinct from everyone else’s. As a result, how you view someone will differ from how someone else sees them because it depends on how you define a good person.

It is important to recognize that everything has beauty and that they all look great in their own way. Nonetheless, perception differs from person to person.
